University of Chicago Graduate School of Business
Chicago, IL

The Graduate School of Business was designed to reflect the surrounding architecture. Located in the heart of the University of Chicago, it consists of 415,000 square feet of floor space on its seven floors. Larson Engineering provided the calculations for the steel connections for the 37,500 square feet 83-foot tall winter garden.

Designed by world renowned architect Rafael Viñoly, this structure is one of several great accomplishments in his many years of practice. His work has been recognized in the world’s leading design publications and by numerous design excellence awards, including the AIA Medal of Honor. With its imposing columns and soaring arches echoing traditional gothic architecture, this is no doubt an astonishing addition to the campus community.
