Target Corporation – Parking Lot Rehabilitation
Fort Myers, FL
Larson Engineering first evaluated the existing pavement and concrete conditions at the store and provided recommendations to Target for rehabilitation. This store was selected by Target to advance to the construction phase. Larson Engineering then developed designs and plans for the rehabilitation work that included full depth repairs of distressed pavement areas, concrete sidewalk repairs, milling and overlaying the parking lot and upgrading ADA parking and signage to the current code requirements.
After a contractor was selected, Larson Engineering provided construction administration and performed full-time construction inspections. During construction Larson Engineering’s role also included communications with the store team and contractor to coordinate the phasing of the work to ensure safe access to the store for the staff and guests, and that deliveries to the store were not interrupted, as the store remained open during all construction activities.
