Smithsonian Patent Office Building Courtyard Enclosure

Larson Engineering was proud to be part of the team designing the enclosure of the existing courtyard. The 130 ft. x 280 ft. courtyard is enclosed by a 90-foot high glass and steel self-supporting space frame. Surrounded on all four sides by the historic Patent Office Building, the roof is composed of three interconnected vaults that flow into one another through softly curves valleys.
