Community Memorial officials plan to complete a 320,000 square foot hospital addition next to the existing building to meet new California state earthquake regulations which call for hospitals to comply by the 2013 deadline.

Larson Engineering, Inc. provided structural services for this $200 million construction project. Construction for the new building began in 2010. The new facility will house 242 patient beds with an additional 33 bed emergency room.
