Kunsan Air Base Dormitory
Kunsan, South Korea
Kunsan Air Force Base is home to more than 2,900 people. This number includes active duty and civilians. An assignment to Kunsan Air Base is typically a one year tour without their families. Almost all military members live on base in dormitories.
In an effort to make tours more attractive to the airmen working 150 miles from the North Korean border, they built two new dormitory towers, a gym and a commissary. The towers have four-room suites and private bed/bathrooms
Larson Engineering provided the blast resistant design for 500 window units. The window units were designed to exceed the DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
