One World Trade Center
New York City, NY
Formerly known as the Freedom Tower, this monumental skyscraper rises 1,776 feet into the New York skyline signaling the resiliency of our country after the September 11, 2001 attacks. This 104-story tower sits on the northwest corner of the 16-acre World Trade Center site.
The tower's steel structure topped out in August of 2012 and in May of 2013 the building's final component, a 408-foot spire weighing 758 tons, was lowered into place bringing an emotional end to a 12-year effort to reestablish a vital part of the New York City skyline.
Larson Engineering was very proud to be part of the design team providing calculations for over 1 million square feet of curtain wall.
